Professor Zarkesh-Ha received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1992, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University, Tehran, Iran, in 1994, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, in 2001. He subsequently joined the research staff of the LSI Logic Corporation, Milpitas, California, where he has worked on interconnect architecture design for the next ASIC generations. Since 2001, he has been serving as industry liaison for LSI Logic Corporation with Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) and Microelectronics Advanced Research Corporation (MARCO).

In 2006, he joined the Faculty of the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, where is an assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are Statistical modeling of VLSI systems, design for manufacturability and reliability, low-power and high-performance VLSI design.

Prof. Zarkesh-Ha is author of a book chapter, Interconnect Technology Design for Gigascale Integration (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 2003). He is author or co-author of over 30 peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and holds 9 patents. Since 2001, he has been serving as technical program committee member of System Level Interconnect Prediction (SLIP) Workshop. Prof. Zarkesh-Ha is a member of New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS), and a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
