Introduction
Sudharman K. Jayaweera was born in Matara, Sri Lanka. He received the B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 1997 and M.A. and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. He a Senior Member of IEEE and an editor of IEEE Transactions in Vehicular Technology. His research interests include statistical signal processing, wireless communications, information theory, cognitive radios and cyber-physical systems such as smart-grid and vehicular networks.
Dr. Jayaweera has authored more than 150 journal and conference paperss. He is also the author of the 2014 Wiley book titled "Signal Processing for Cognitive Radios".
